Guild Hall

The Guildhall can be found in Saint Helen Square, York. The Guildhall stands behind the Lord Mayor's Residence, called the Mansion House. The Guild is an integral part of York, and used to be the meeting place for the medieval guilds. A medieval passageway, called the Common Lane, runs from the Guildhall to the river. It is said that the Romans forded the river at this point. The Guild Hall is an excellent choice of venue for meetings, functions and events. Bradshaws of York Ltd can provide mouth watering, appetising buffet lunches to suit all tastes.
